Financial Aid

A variety of Financial Aid options are available to incoming students.


Scholarships


The Norris and Myrtle Ellis, Charles G. McPhee, Gerald Whitfield Memorial Funds, Becky Hibbard Morgan Memorial Scholarship, Knutson-Mukitus-Timmerman Scholarship, Beverly Bailey Scholarship, and Garry and Janet Bailey Scholarship all provide student assistance each year. Application forms are available.



Great Lakes Bible College Bursary


The GLBC General Bursary Application is available year round. The Financial Needs committee meets on a quarterly basis. If applicable, awards are made in Early December of each year.


Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:


Minimum Enrollment

  • All undergraduate students must register and complete at least 1 course for credit in the applicable 4 month term- either fall or winter.
  • Courses may be taken online


GPA Requirements

  • Continuing GLBC students must meet a GPA requirement of a minimum cumulative GPA of 65 per cent or higher.
  • New students entering from high school must have a grade 12 average of 70 per cent or higher.
  • Adult Students pursuing continuous education must meet general requirements for entry to Great Lakes Bible College (www.glbc.ca/requirements)


Financial Need must be clearly documented on the application. Students who have applied for student aid/loans from other sources should consider these in their declaration of financial need. Note that other sources of income will also be considered.


Application to the Great Lakes Bible Bursary is open to students of all backgrounds. Students from Churches of Christ will be given additional consideration. At the discretion of Great Lakes Bible College, awards may be aimed at encouraging specific groups or individuals into study. Full time students with the intention to pursue Ministry as a career will be given special consideration.
